Breakaway to Maui is timed to provide the Bike MS cycling enthusiast with a well-deserved break from winter, an opportunity to ride with new and old friends and preparation for the upcoming cycling season. Each day will include a new ride on beautiful roads and also some free time to enjoy Maui as you please. For many, the highlight of the week will be the 36-mile, 10,023-foot climb to the summit of Haleakala.
The island of Maui is approximately 729 square miles with over three hundred miles of paved roadways from sea level to 10,000 feet. The landscape ranges from lush rain forest to desert-like and everything in between. Maui has many microclimates throughout the island which offers cyclists the opportunity to ride in dry warm conditions all year round. The cycling in Maui is incredible with many diverse ride routes everyday. We will ride along the breathtaking coastal areas and cycle through lush rainforests where you will pass many majestic waterfalls. Climb from sea level to 10,000’ on a dormant volcano. These are just a few of the exhilarating rides you will experience with us on your Maui vacation.
Our on-island partner is Go Cycling Maui. Go Cycling Maui will support the riders on route and can provide Litespeed road bicycles if needed.
